How did you get started as a professional writer?

Since 6th Year in school, all through university and beyond I worked as a professional actress and in TV and film production as an assistant director and production coordinator. When I met my husband a few years after university, I gave it up- the living out of a suitcase didn't suit me any more. I had made a lot of contacts within the press however, and with my English degree, I was able to move into working as a freelance journalist and blogger.

What are your other interests?

Being self-employed, I'm a bit of a workaholic, in addition to running my sites, social media and freelance writing, I also work with brands in a consulting role. I still have a passion for TV and film, and adore actors, so I'd like to somehow fit in going back into that industry as a publicist. In my spare time, I read chick-lit novels voraciously and listen to the audiobook versions too. I've also just got into upcycling furniture - a mirror and coffee table are my first projects.
