How did you get into blogging?
I used to work at a digital agency dealing with bloggers on a daily basis, reading their own little portals of the internet inspired me to start my own. So one night I came home, set up a blog, wrote what I’d done that day and the rest as they say is history! (Click to read about Paula's experience of being a full-time blogger).
Where do you go for inspiration?
I get a lot of inspiration from fashion site Lookbook.nu. Its full of amazing fashion bloggers and a great way to source style inspiration.
You organise a dinner with 3 celebrities (dead or alive), who would they be and why?
- Anna Wintour - she is so interesting and I don’t think she is the battle axe people make her out to be. I’d make her take her sunglasses off whilst eating.
- Alan Carr - he’s one of my favourite comedians, he makes me laugh so much. So he would be a great addition to the table for any awkward silences.
- Justin Timberlake - he can be the eye candy and also play us all some music.
Name 3 places in London that shouldn’t be missed
- Bubbledogs restaurant – hotdogs AND champagne!
- Lola's cupcakes - check out their mini stall in Convent Garden,
- The Trafalgar rooftop bar - the view from lets you see over all of London.
Which superpower would you like to have and why?
Read minds, so I could know what people are really thinking.
Tell us about a time you got embarrassed
When the Olympics were in London, I went to Hyde Park to join the festivities. My friend and I went to the Cadbury’s pop-up where we were given a chocolate gold medal. I decided to wear it around my neck and we went into town. We were in Selfridges and this woman came up to ask for a picture with me as she thought I was a gold medallist, I wasn’t sure who was more embarrassed!
What do you do when you want to relax?
I love going to the park near me for a walk or if it’s summer, to sunbathe and chill out. It’s a great way to de-stress, find inspiration and get away from the computer.
What makes you really happy?
I love winning competitions, it’s the best feeling!
What do you love/hate the most about London?
I love the variety of things to do, there is always something new opening that you can go see or try. What I dislike most is the Underground, it really needs to get air-conditioning. I always try to avoid it in summer and take the bus or a taxi if I can.
What would be your death row meal?
I do love a roast dinner, but I’m going to go with Wagyu steak with a good glass of Sauvignon Blanc, followed up by fried oreos.
If you were a Groupon deal, what would you be? How would you sell yourself on Groupon?
A 2 for 1 afternoon tea, who doesn’t love afternoon tea!?
What’s your favourite quote?
‘Don’t wait for opportunity. Create it.’
