So Many Shoes and Only Two Feet

BY: Nic |18 Apr 2014
So Many Shoes and Only Two FeetI can never have too many shoes. Am I alone in this? Didn't think so... Do I know where to go to find great shoes in Belfast? Absolutely! The quality of Belfast shoe shops has increased a thousand fold in recent years (yay!), meaning that the options available to our London sisters (and brothers) are now right here on our doorstep. If you're shoe shopping in Belfast and not sure where to begin, here's a heads up... The exterior of the Kurt Geiger shoe shop in Belfast

Dune

My first city centre stop for shoes is Dune for stylish, well made designs with good attention to detail and a reasonable price. In particular I tend to veer there for evening shoes (a little bling can usually be guaranteed) and summer sandals. In addition to their own brand, Dune stocks Bertie and Steve Madden for women, with a string of men's brands including Camper and Ted Baker. The two Belfast stores are both city centre based. Dune is in two locations: Castlecourt Shopping Centre, Royal Avenue, Belfast (upstairs near the back) and 16 Victoria Square, Belfast (opposite Topshop)

Office

Office offers great alternatives to high end designs at high street prices and in addition to its own brand, stocks big sellers like Ugg and Converse. Fashion trainers are a speciality. A great stop for on trend men's, women's and children's styles to keep everyone happy - result! Office, 2 High Street, Belfast (also in-store at House of Fraser and Topshop)

Kurt Geiger styling is always on point, with a higher than average High Street price tag, which tends to make it my first stop for special occasion or 'investment' shoes (thankfully their sales are fantastic!). You'll find celebrity designer favourites such as Ash, Acne and Sam Edelman alongside own brands, Kurt Geiger London, KG Kurt Geiger, Carvela Kurt Geiger and Miss KG. Kurt Geiger, 1 Victoria Square, Belfast (lower ground level)

Schuh

Schuh Belfast reminds me of Office on a larger scale, with a similar focus on street style and sports shoes. Multiple brands of men's, women's  and children's shoes are divided over two floors where you'll find all the usuals alongside Irregular Choice, Hush Puppies, Fly London and Toms. Schuh, 33-39 Royal Avenue, Belfast

Rojo

Designer shoe lovers should hot foot it to Rojo for brands such as Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Stuart Wiseman and DKNY. Prepare to be swayed by a great handbag and accessories collection to match your new shoes! If comfort is more your thing, you'll also find Uggs and Fit Flops here. Rojo, 613 Lisburn Road, Belfast

Also Check Out...

While you're on the Lisburn Road, it's well worth paying a visit a few doors down to independent boutique, Honey no.627 and Italian shoe and handbag specialist, Carl Scarpa no 605. Of course you'll also find multiple brands of shoes in Belfast's main department stores, Debenhams and House of Fraser - great places to find everything under one roof, especially on rainy days! Other popular stops for in-store shoe shopping are Zara, Next, Marks & Spencer, Primark and Topshop. You can't buy happiness but you can buy shoes... and that's kinda the same thing!
