It's tradition in almost every workplace in the country to organise a group night out for Christmas. Often this involves a set menu dinner, or a party night at a local hotspot. The competition to bag a booking on a good date is fierce, with venues often being booked to capacity on December nights months in advance. Companies start making plans as early as September, so if you're in charge of organising the festivities for your colleagues, you're going to need this guide to the best Glasgow Christmas nights out.
Arta
Arta, in the Merchant City area of the city centre, is a great location for all ages. Your whole group can dine in the restaurant to the sounds of their Christmas playlist. There is a great party atmosphere that all will enjoy.
The set 3-course menu offers the traditional Christmas turkey dinner and Christmas pudding, but also has some excellent Mediterranean-themed dishes to fit in with Arta's normal cuisine.
If you book for Sunday to Thursday, you'll get a free half bottle of wine per person, plus, parties over 20 can reserve a private dining room. Or, book for a Friday or Saturday night and the young ones can stay on to party the night away, when the venue turns into a nightclub, until 4am.
Prices for the set dinner range from £25 to £55 per person, dependant on the chosen date.

Holiday Inn East Kilbride
The Holiday Inn hotel in East Kilbride is a popular venue choice for workplaces looking for a good old-fashioned party night where you can mix with other groups.
On Friday 19th December, from 3pm, they are running a 'Black Friday Office Extravaganza Night' for £24.95 per adult. For this you are welcolmed with drinks and nibbles, entertained by a Billy Connolly tribute act, fed with a hot buffet, and then played to by a DJ until midnight.
If you fancy going on another night, they are running Boogie Wonderland party nights on various dates in December. The nights start at 7.30pm with a set menu (either £19.95 or £34.95 per person dependant on your menu choice) with something for everyone. There's then a DJ and party games until 1am.

Di Maggio's
If you don't want a fancy night out, and just want to sit down and have a good old natter with your workmates over some yummy food, think about booking with Italian chain Di Maggio's. They have a restaurant right in the middle of Glasgow city centre, just off Buchanan Street, and offer a Christmas menu (from 5th to 23rd December) with turkey dinner, prawn cocktail and Christmas pudding classics; plus Italian comfort food such as pizza and risotto.
It's £22.95 per head on Friday and Saturday nights, and £19.95 on the other nights of the week.
21 Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow, G1 3AJ
Wherever you choose to have your Glasgow Christmas party night, you'll need to get in there soon. All venues above require a deposit of at least £10 per person to secure the booking, so you've got a lot of organising to do.
