The Event
Songwriting legend Tony Hatch will come to the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall on 5 July to perform alongside a 40-piece orchestra and guests including Rumer, Petula Clark, Marti Webb and Joe McElderry. Notable for his various contributions to music from the 1960s, Hatch has composed various distinctive TV theme tunes such as Crossroads, Emmerdale and Neighbours, as well as music for stage shows and pop hits like Downtown, Call Me and I Know a Place. There will also be a chance to learn more about his life, career and some of the stories behind the songs as he chats to Michael Grade.
