Tour Details

The Northern Lights Tour
Natural wonders come in the shape of the Northern Lights in this three- to five-hour tour, accompanied by an experienced tour guide. The event is visible on clear nights from September to April, swirling and dancing in dramatic shapes, colours, patterns and sizes. Sights cannot be guaranteed, though. The tour may be cancelled if the sky is heavily clouded or weather conditions are not favourable. An experienced guide will accompany guests on this tour by coach. Guests should contact the front desk of the hotel on service day or the Tour Desk at Hotel Saga, Loftleidir and Hilton to find out whether the tour is operated.

The Whale Watching tour on Faxaflói Bay
This three-hour tour provides guests with the opportunity to watch whales swimming close to the Icelandic coastline. Some of the whale types that can be spotted include minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises and the popular humpback whales, the majestic fin and sei whales and the killer whales or orcas. Bird watchers will be pleased to see a number of birds that usually accompany the boat, like gannets, puffins, guillemots, cormorants, gulls, kittiwakes, arctic terns and many more. The tour will depart from the old harbour of Reykjavik and will be led by a whale watching guide. Sights cannot be guaranteed.
