The Big Day
Newleyweds can celebrate their nuptials in style with a grand shindig or more intimate affair at Abbey House Hotel. After a red carpet arrival, couples can take to 14 acres of landscaped grounds for picturesque wedding photography, before joining up to 80 guests for a three-course celebratory feast. Revellers can post messages and well-wishes in to a replica cast iron George VI post box, or get stuck in to a staffed candy-floss cart. In the evening, a buffet will keep guests fuelled for dancing, while the bride and groom can retire to a honeymoon suite of soft, deep carpets and a bath big enough for two.

The Venue
Dating back to the early 20th century, Abbey House Hotel is a traditional sandstone country manor in the verdant surrounds of the Lake District. A restaurant uses locally sourced produce where possible, and fish from sustainable sources too. The Great Abbey Hall can cater to large parties and extravagant events, alternatively the Furness Room welcomes more intimate occasions. With picturesque grounds to wander, guests could even stumble upon the remains of the 11th century Furness Abbey on-site.
