How did the restaurant begin?
Chefs from Malaysia, France, and Sweden were attracted to the quintessential Englishness of the former Victorian pub, and purchased it in 1996, turning the Shoreditch haunt into an upscale fusion restaurant in 2000. They also run a nearby antique and vintage interiors shop on Redchurch Street, as well as Loungelover, just behind the restaurant.
What are some of the restaurant's defining features?
The chef's table is located in a private room and allows guests to dine while witnessing the chefs at work through a one-way window. Owners Hassan, Michel, and Stefan are still as committed as ever to Les Trois Garcons - they live above the dining space.
