Highlights
Help provide lifesaving equipment such as shelter kits and blankets for families affected by the disaster.
About This Deal
The Campaign
On 25 April, a huge earthquake with a magnitude of 7.9 hit Nepal, just 50 miles from the capital of Kathmandu. This catastrophic event caused extensive damage to homes, historic monuments and communication networks.
Over 4,000 people have died across Nepal, India, Bangladesh and China. Casualties continue to flood into hospitals, with many others left homeless and forced to sleep outside in cold temperatures, fearful of further aftershocks. Nepal’s government has declared a national emergency.
With 2 million children affected, and huge aftershocks still shaking the country, Save the Children has launched their Nepal Earthquake Appeal to help provide essential lifesaving equipment for children and their families. By donating, you can help purchase items such as tarpaulin and rope for temporary shelters, as well as baby kits containing blankets and warm clothes.
