My fiancé and I had a smashing time here. We were blown away by the spa facilities and the quality of the afternoon tea, coffee and Prosecco. Everything was timed perfectly and the customer service was to a very high standard! I managed to get a last minute booking and from Groupon too so it was very cheap! A total steal. Thank you for fitting us in at such short notice and for making our experience so enjoyable!

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and efficient. The sauna was hot as was the steam room. The changing facilities are a little tired. The afternoon tea was excellent.

When we arrived, the receptionist was welcoming and explained everything to us. The spa lady was lovely aswell as the beauty lady. We had 2 x facials, which are highly recommended. The reason for 3 stars is, when we went for our afternoon tea. When I booked, the receptionist asked if we had any dietary requirements, 1 was vegetarian. I was assured that there afternoon tea sandwiches would be separate. After a 30 minute wait (bare in mind we were the only ones in!) the manager came with our afternoon tea. He told us the chef was on a break so he had to find him hence the delay. (This was a prebooked afternoon tea at 4pm). The meat and vegetarian sandwiches were together on one plate, I explained we had 1 vegetarian and I said this when I booked. He said "well I think there's cheese and pickle there but I don't know". I asked him to take them away and do a vegetarian plate separately like already agreed. He tutted, and took them away. He returned about 10 minutes later, muttered something and put the plate down. I understand that the chef was on a break, but it had been offered to us that vegetarian would be separate, and for the manager to act like this made us feel very uncomfortable. The food was OK, but we wouldn't return purely due to the managers attitude.

The spa was not great, the steam room had a vile smell, it was then “cleaned” but smelt just as bad with the cleaning products, had to leave before the allotted time due to making me feel sick. The afternoon tea on the other hand was lovely, the view from the restaurant was really nice, and the homemade scones were the highlight. Unfortunately won’t be going back there!
