Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons by Candlelight
Founded in 1991, London Concertante is one of the most well-known orchestras in the country. They have an extensive concert history, having performed in the USA, Finland, Spain and France, as well as at London’s landmark venues including St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’ Piccadilly, Southwark Cathedral, Cadogan Hall and the Southbank Centre. This year, they will be performing Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons concertos in cathedrals around England and Scotland lit only by candlelight. Other works in their concerts will include Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins, Mozart’s Flute Quartet in D, Albinoni’s Obeo Concerto and Telemann’s Viola Concerto, with varying programmes between venues.
