About Wookey Hole Caves
The ancient Wookey Hole Caves lie deep in the cavernous depths of Somerset. Shrouded in 50,000 years of history, there is more than enough for archaeologists and historians to sink their teeth into, including the legend of the Wookey Witch. Trampling in and out, it is easy to imagine the bones of tropical and Ice Age animals, but now only horseshoe bats remain. Among other attractions, Wookey has a life-size dinosaur park, featuring over 20 different species, as well as a Pirate Island mini golf course, a Fairy Garden, and a Magical Mirror Maze.
The Challenge
Wookey Hole Caves was looking to gain new customers and approach a wider market, they weren’t able to achieve by themselves, locally or nationally.
The Result
Wookey Hole Caves have enjoyed an increase in awareness as well as coverage in areas they may not have reached with traditional marketing campaigns. Thanks to Groupon, thousands of subscribers now see their offers and the deals featured on the website.
Chris Goodchild, Duty Manager of the caves estimates that a high portion of Groupon customers have not heard of them before, and may not have even considered visiting before seeing the deal.
