Act Like a Kid with These Fun London Activities

BY: Natalie De Luca |24 Aug 2022

Who remembers the good old days, when summer holidays were spent in the sun, and enjoying various activities such as mini-golf and bowling.  Well, we may not get the long hot summers anymore but we can still make like kids and enjoy these fab London activities.

Trampoline Park

One of the newest “why should the kids have all the fun” additions to London is this trampoline park in Acton.  Of course, kids are still allowed to join in the fun and there are holiday camps and parties on offer, as well as a teen disco complete with DJ and strobe lighting.  For those of us who don’t quite fit into the teenager bracket, there’s still plenty to enjoy. An hour free jump, exercise classes and dodgeball all feature. Time to practice your front drop!

Oxygen Freejumping £12.50 for a 60-minute session. http://oxygenfreejumping.co.uk/

Petanque

Or you may better remember this french game as boules,as a child played with brightly coloured balls but now you're all grown up and sophisticated it’s all about the silver boule.  For one week starting at the end of August you’ll be able to play this classic game up on a rooftop in East London.  If you’re not tempted already, there’ll be cocktails and steak available too. 27th August – 2nd September 2015

£15/30 minutes for up to 6 people, boulers.co.uk/

Ping Pong - Bounce

If you’re not already aware of the ping pong trend sweeping London, quite frankly, where have you been?  At Bounce you can enjoy a mix of pizza, booze and wiff waff all under one roof.  Warning - you may thinking your technique is improving the more you drink, but it’s almost definitely not.  Perfect for group nights out, staff are available to help run competitions for your party.

Tables from £10/30 minutes

Farringdon - 121 Holborn, London, EC1N 2TD, Shoreditch - 239 Old Street, London, EC1V 9EY

Minigolf - Putt in the Park

A holiday classic, everyone loves a bit of mini, or should we say “crazy”, golf. Putt in the Park operate from the lovely riverside Wandsworth Park and also their recently opened second site in Battersea Park.  The well kept courses provide a series of obstacles to overcome, including water, but don’t worry they provide nets to fish out any stray balls.  A licensed bar operates at both sites if you fancy a post round pint.

Adults from £7/each

Bowling - All Star Lanes

I don’t remember bowling lanes looking so good when I was a kid, they’ve definitely raised their game. All Star Lanes has the feel of an American style diner, and in fact, the food menu features such American classics as mac and cheese, ribs, wings, and hot dogs.  Enjoy two games for £10 every Monday.
