VERY POOR SERVICE AND THE FOOD WAS SERVED COOL AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY TASTE

Now I have to say we visited The Calabash for something different and I am not that familiar with Nigerian and African food but if the food we were served was authentic then there is not a chance I'd be trying it again. We chose from the African Menu and none of our dishes were enjoyable, I had the Crain Crain and it was just not edible. All of the dishes were described as being with a Palm Oil Sauce and perhaps it was this that gave it an insipid horrid flavour. The only positive was the lady working at the bar who was very cheery and nice but otherwise the service was very flakey. We ordered two different lagers but were served the same one (via Roma I think) which was not a great quality lager and we ordered a Sprite which we were sure was just lemonade. I also ordered Jollof Rice as an extra side which never arrived, when I queried this I was told the African Menu meals only come with boiled rice even though I wanted to order the Jollof rice as well. All in all we left hungry and had to stop off somewhere else to find something edible which defeated the object of the money saving Groupon.
