About Epping Ongar Railway
A heritage railway, Epping Ongar Railway offers a selection of vintage transport experiences. One of the lines, located closest to the capital and part of the former London Underground Network, lets participants take vintage buses directly from Epping station to North Weald, following the 339 route. At North Weald, travellers can hop on as many trains as they like running to and from Ongar, being pulled by a selection of the line's steam and diesel locomotives. The collection of available experiences is rounded off by a ride on a shuttle train, departing from North Weald and travelling through Epping Forest before returning back to North Weald. For special occasions, the railway runs event days when visitors can meet fictional characters or enjoy cream tea on the train.
