This hotel is absolutely lovely! It is so clean and ornate it feels like you on the Titanic!!! it was such a lovely experience. The room was basic but it had everything we needed. It had two leather comfy chairs so we sat and watched television like a little lounge area instead of sitting on a bed and the television was freestanding and not fixed on a wall so we could swivel it when we eventually went to bed. The staff were so pleasant and attentive and the evening meal was lovely, hot and tasty. The breakfast was just as tasty and a good choice of cereals, fruit, and continental selection and of all the hotels we have stayed in this was the first that had hot plates! The staff were so friendly and attentive and it was overall a really lovely overnight stay. We are looking at going again for our 30th Wedd Anniv and taking the family and the dog (dog friendly!!) to walk around the 5 acres of land around the hotel!. We really enjoyed our stay thank you to all the hard working staff we will definitely see you again!

A lovely old traditional hotel. Very reasonable rates and staff most helpful.

This was our 4th time at the Palace Hotel and it again it disappoint us , it’s a beautiful hotel . The food was excellent , our room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly . It’s excellent value for money and can’t wait to go again .
