About Dudley Zoological Gardens
Dudley Zoological Gardens are home to over 1300 animals, including endangered species such as Sumatran tigers, Bornean orangutans, Tibetan red pandas and Humboldt penguins. Established in 1937, the Gardens cover an area of approximately 40 acres, boasting an 11th-century castle and limestone caverns as well as Grade 2 listed Tecton buildings, which were awarded World Monument Status in 2009. Guests can see the animals during a regular visit, adopt one to help preserve the zoo, or arrange a private event on site.
