About Born Free Foundation

Established in 1984, Born Free Foundation is a registered charity set up by Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna, stars of the Born Free movie that was filmed in 1966 and turned out to be a life-changing experience for both of them. Aiming to protect endangered species in their natural habitat, the team at Born Free Foundation strives to rescue animals living in poor conditions and barren cages. Providing a lifetime care in spacious bush sanctuaries to those who were saved, Born Free wants to play an important role among the animal activists.
