It’s a small mini golf course, but we had it to ourselves and had a great time. The food was nice too, good value for money.

The Venue was absolutely great - a superb place with bright, helpful staff. The menu was also a bit unusual. We were blessed with a wonderful sunny, warm day which helped. The golf was fun but the meal and ambience were what made the day so good .

We have been before but during the day. We went on a Saturday evening and it was extremely quiet. It isn’t a cosy place and felt very odd being one of only a few people in the place. The staff were lovely and helpful explaining the Groupon and helping us to move to a warmer table but the food was poor with a pale undercooked pizza being particularly disappointing. The women’s toilets had no working soap dispensers which I reported but were not filled before we left. We hoped to play pool but the table was occupied so overall this was a disappointing night out. The Venue looks like it would be brilliant for a party but isn’t such a good place for a couple wanting a nice meal.

Having bought a mini golf + lunch for 2, I offered my voucher for confirmation but the staff member waved it away. It's on our system" she said dismissively. So we sat down and she brought us a menu, advising us to choose two courses and a drink. Again, she swept my protest away. She knew best. But of course she didn't. As we were eating our main course, she came to tell us that she'd made a mistake and proceeded to charge us an EXTRA £21 despite the fact that it was HER mistake, and we never got our golf because of the delay [see below] On top of this violation of the hospitality code, the service was very poor. The place wasn't at all busy but we waited a full hour before being served our not very complicated starters [the chef was chatting idly at the bar during this time.] No complaint about the actual food and the setting of the Venue is lovely but all the rest was unacceptable.

Can't actually use this Groupon without paying a supplement when you're there as the starters and mains are all priced higher than the limit stated in the small print. When we complained that this was false advertising , the acting manager (the real manager wasn't there) simply repeated over and over that the terms didn't permit us to use the voucher to get the 'advertised two-course meal' without paying a supplement. Absolutely terrible customer service.
