About Colchester Zoo

The zoo has been established for over 50 years and plays an important role in wildlife conservation. Animals from closer to home make an appearance, with farmyard friends such as horses, goats, pigs and chickens, not to mention the llamas and alpacas. There’s more fun to be had over at the Discovery Centre, with plenty of educational actives, and Sensation Station to get in touch with your senses and up close with animals. Those in search of refreshments will also be able to stop by a number of food outlets.
