About phipps brewery

Nestled in the heart of Northampton, Phipps Brewery pays homage to traditional brewing. After 159 years of independence, Phipps NBC became part of the Watney Mann empire until 1974, when Carlsberg took over the site and Phipps' Bridge Street brewery closed. Phipps has managed to revive, offering a wide range of beers available on draught and in bottle. From stouts to pale ales, the beers are made with 95% English malt and 60% English hops, with the brewery using time-honoured recipes, as well as exploring new flavours. Phipps brings back the world of welcoming pubs selling local beer with The Albion Brewery bar, where customers can drink and dine, watching the beer being brewed.
