Built in 1905, Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway was originally intended for the transportation of the raw materials required for the paper manufacture and the finished product created at the paper mill at Kemsley Down. Nowadays, it continues to use the steam engines and rolling stock from 1969 to introduce the sites around its path to tourists and railway-aficionados. Visitors can delight in the views of the century-old Milton Regis Viaduct and the natural beauty of Milton Creek Country Park during their journey and then visit Kemsley Down and see the old paper mill for themselves.
