About Batemans Brewery

Based at Salem Bridge since 1874, Batemans Brewery is located only a short walk away from Wainfleet railway station. Passed down through four generations of the Bateman family, the business has stayed true to its traditional roots and ways of creating ales while modernising the equipment used. Visitors can enjoy tours starting in Victorian Brewhouse, full of brass and copper equipment before moving on to the contemporary part in Theatre of Beers. On the way, there's a chance to see objects and letters dating back to 1899 and collection of beer bottles and vintage brewery posters. An on-site bar serves a selection of spirits, including local brews and the small restaurant provides light bites for peckish guests.
