About Acton Scott Historic Working Farm
Nestled among the Shropshire hills, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm showcases the charms and hardships of 19th-century rural life. Conceived by Thomas Acton, the venue preserves many Victorian farming traditions and techniques. Guests have an opportunity to meet pygmy goats, partake in daily demonstrations of period skills and learn about professions such as wheelwright, farrier and blacksmith. After a day of sightseeing, a cafe located in a historical school building invites visitors for hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks.
