What is Semi-permanent makeup and how long does it last?

Semi Permanent Make Up (SPMU) is also known as micro-pigmentation and it is form of temporary cosmetic makeup that has become extremely popular in recent years!

SPMU generally lasts from 12-24 months – so you are not making a lifelong commitment! Generally speaking, those who choose this route are very certain that they will be happy with the look for another two years because they have been applying it the same way every day for a long time and now want a more long lasting solution.

How long does the treatment take?

Initial treatment lasts 2.5h for eyebrow and eyeliner treatments and may take up to 3h for lip treatment, but this is only for initial treatment which includes consultation, predrawing eyebrows or lips etc. A top up is required at 6-8 weeeks to cement the colour and ensure retention 

Will it hurt?

Thats the most popular question we get asked. We do all we can to minimise any discomfort during the treatment, and use of pre treatment anaesthetic as well us during the treatment. You will also be advices on how to prepare for the treatment before your scheduled appointment. (i.e do not consume caffeine at least 2h before treatment and no alcohol at least 24h before treatment)

Will it ever need to be retouched?

Yes a second treatment will need to be carried out 4 to 8 weeks after the initial treatment (at a surcharge of £150, not included in groupon offer). After this, most people come in 1-3 years for a refresh.

Option to upgrade to Spmu eyeliner, freckles, beauty spots

Lighter colours fade faster so if you are blonde or your skin is oily/combined your retouches will generally be annually. The warm and light molecules of colour will fade first.
