The Deal

Guests can be driven up the wall with an introductory lesson in indoor rock climbing. One-hour taster sessions are designed to offer a glimpse into the world of bouldering and rope climbing, while a more comprehensive three-hour course will go deeper into the art of rope climbing, showing budding climbers how to wear a harness, belay for their friends and generally stay safe. On successful completion of the longer course, customers will be able to return to the venue with two newcomers and climb unsupervised, passing on their new-found knowledge.

##The Merchant Established in 2008, Alter Rock Climbing Centre is a family-owned company with over 600 square metres of indoor climbing walls. Multiple paths, of varying difficulty, head up each wall. The different routes are marked by coloured holds, with a key positioned at floor height so climbers can easily choose a route that matches their skill level before taking their first step. Those new to the game can sign up for a monthly or annual membership and receive unlimited entry and one free coaching session each month.
