Iconic Beber tagines and inventive couscous treats make up the far-flung fusion menu at this relaxed Old Street lounge. Diners may opt for a classic lamb tagine (usually £13.25), coated in an aromatic sauce with prunes, apricots, roasted almonds and sesame seeds; a charmoula sea bass fillet (£13.95) with sweet potato, avocado and harissa salsa; or rib-eye steak (£15.95) with brandy sauce and chips. All meals are accompanied by a 250ml glass of red or white wine (up to £5.50), or soft drink each. Hungry gastronomes can also opt for a starter such as scallops wrapped in parma ham (£6.95) or aubergine caviar (£4.75), or a dessert including a fig tart with vanilla ice cream (£4.50) or pistachio crème brûlée (£4), as well as their main dish.
