What does this treatment involve?
A GDC trained dentist will first undertake a comprehensive examination of the customer’s teeth and gums to assess suitability. The intense Philips zoom light will then be directed at the teeth, which is designed to reduce yellow staining and return teeth to their natural colour.The whole whitening session itself lasts around an hour with the whitening taking place in three 15 minute sections. Does the treatment lighten crowns?
No, only natural teeth will be affected. Crowns, fillings and other dental work will remain the same colour, although some surface stains may be removed.
What does the aftercare involve?
Clients should not eat or drink dark, staining substances for 24 hours after the session. These include coffee, tea, red wine and coke; smoking should also be avoided.
What does the home kit include?
*The home kit is Covent Garden Aesthetic Clinics own dental brand * Dual mouth tray system, cover’s upper and lower teeth, fits all mouth sizes (please note the moulds are not a customised fit) * 10 ml 6% hydrogen peroxide gel (enough for up to twenty applications) please note this can only be prescribed by a dentist.
