About Curran's Bar and Seafood Steakhouse
Situated in the coastal village of Ardglass, Curran's Bar and Seafood Steakhouse has passed hands through several generations of the same family. The restaurant is set within a public house which dates back to 1791. Restored stables house the bar while a former bottling room forms part of the dining area. The traditional interior features exposed brickwork, framed art and ambient lighting and a garden offers outdoor seating. The eatery specialises in sizzling grills and fresh fruits of the sea and also serves pasta, roasts and a selection of vegetarian favourites. The kitchen prepares dry-hung Irish beef and acquires seafood from local fishing boats and vegetables from the region's farmers. A programme of events includes seasonally themed parties and regular live music while the venue can also be hired for private parties.
