The Deal
Frost-fans can take to the rink (usually £5.90 each), kitted out with a pair of skates (£3.10 each) to practice graceful glides and comedy falls alike. Youngsters can make the most of penguin skate-aids, designed to help fledging skaters build their confidence on the ice.

The Merchant
Located in Queensferry, Deeside Ice Rink boasts a Olympic-sized dimensions. Visitors of all abilities take to the ice during skating sessions. Lessons see seasoned gliders teach pupils aged three and upwards the tenets of the sport according to Skate UK tuition levels. Ice hockey matches, curling and disco-themed nights are also regularly held.
