The Barn
Located in the Waveney Valley, in the heart of Norfolk countryside, the Wortwell Hall Barn welcomes travellers to a converted 18th-century Grade II-listed building. Guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the idyllic private grounds and a secluded garden and take advantage of fishing and wildlife spotting opportunities as well as numerous other outdoor activities in the local area.
The barn is just two miles from the Market Town of Harleston, on the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk and centrally located for most of Norfolk’s attractions, including the famous Norfolk Broads. It's located half a mile from the village of Wortwell within a small hamlet accessed by a private road, this makes the location an ideal place to relax and enjoy a break in the picturesque surroundings of the farmhouse and watermill.
The building dates back to the early 1700s and still retains all the features of the original barn, including a thatch roof and traditional Norfolk barn architecture creating a chocolate box image, the barn was converted just a few years ago, to an impeccable standard within.
The hotel boasts bedrooms kitted out with a free view TV with an integral DVD player, a Hairdryer, Tea and Coffee making facilities, a small fridge, complimentary toiletries, white towels and individual chocolates.
The breakfast is based on locally sourced ingredients including the famous old English Norfolk sausages and free-range eggs. The hotel also provides cereal, yoghurts and a fully customized to your taste & requirements, full English Breakfast. The barn is proud to be a dog & cat-friendly place
