The Experience

The Hotels
Boasting views over both a lake and the Muonio river, The Davvi Arctic Star is a modern hotel situated on the outskirts of Swedish village of Karesuando. It offers simple rooms with en suite facilities. There is also a bar and restaurant that serves local dishes. Guests can explore Karesuando by foot, dropping in at Sweden’s most northerly church, visiting the local museum and crossing regularly between Sweden and Finland.
The Davvi Arctic Lodge is set on a secluded hillside in Finnish Karesuando. The centrepiece of the hotel is a restaurant which has a circular design inspired by the shape of the Sami reindeer corral. The venue provides panoramic views across the hillside towards the Swedish part of Karesuando. The Davvi Arctic Lodge offers accommodation in hotel rooms as well as the wooden cabins located just metres from the main hotel building where meals are taken. Each cabin has en suite shower and a private sauna.

Children and adults alike will enjoy the Santa Claus village at the foot of Ear Mountain, where they can experience Christmas throughout the year and meet Santa and his little helpers while sipping on some hot cocoa.
