The Morar Hotel
THE HIGHLANDS
Nestled between the Silver Sand beaches and Loch Morar, The Morar Hotel is an idyllic 3-star hotel boasting over 100 years of heritage of a traditional Highland hotel. Being only 3 miles from Mallaig, the Southern Gateway to the Isle of Skye and 45 minutes from Fort William, it is your ideal destination for family and solo holidays.
TRUE SCOTTISH HERITAGE
Built in 1902, originally as the Station hotel, it still retains much of the charm it had when it first opened as well as its own railway station through which ''the Hogwarts Express'' passes through on its journey traversing the Glenfinnan Viaduct featured in the Harry Potter movies.
The Morar Hotel features breathtaking views of the famous Silver Sands of Morar and the Inner Hebridean islands of Rum & Eigg. The panoramic views and comfortable accommodation make it the perfect coastal escape. The scenery remains as unspoiled as it was decades ago when it inspired celebrated international composer and Master of the King’s Music, Sir Arnold Bax on his many winter stays in the hotel. With plenty of local attractions steeped in history, endless walking paths and cycling tracks across the highland moors, it is the perfect Highland holiday destination for all!

Groupon's Guide to the Scottish Highlands
Guests may go rambling around lakes and hillsides, or trek the known routes in Beinn Eighe nature reserve, near Kinlochewe. Walking aside, many fishing areas and golf courses are dotted around the area for more conventional activities.
Visitors may explore the great outdoors, taking to Loch Linnhe with a boat ride out to Seal Island for a nature-spotting trip. They may keep eyes peeled for herons and seals, with the odd porpoise known to sometimes make an appearance. Travellers may head north toward Fort William and find throat-warming ventures in the Ben Nevis Distillery at Lochybridge. Further afield, potentially snowy peaks can be sought on Glencoe Mountain, and visitors may even get a whizz on the ski slopes.
