Tropical Butterfly House

Built in 1994, Tropical Butterfly House encloses a recreated rainforest environment that is home to tropical birds, green iguanas, ducks and terrapins as well as butterflies native to Costa Rica and the Philippines. Many of the creatures roam freely under the facility’s roof, although Darwin and Pedro, a duo of spectacled caimans, remain in a pool of their own. Visitors may also encounter animals such as marmoset monkeys, leaf cutter ants, chameleons, mouse lemurs or snakes.
