Shrek The Musical

Based on the award-winning Dreamworks animation, Shrek The Musical comes to Edinburgh and Wimbledon. The family show started life on London’s West End and sees unlikely hero Shrek team up with his loyal steed Donkey as they embark on a quest to save beautiful, if slightly temperamental, Princess Fiona from a fire-breathing, love-sick dragon. The diminutive Lord Farquaad and a gang of fairy tale misfits add to the shenanigans as the show brings the film’s characters to life on stage, complete with all-new songs and the cult Shrek anthem I’m A Believer.

The show’s cast and songs were praised, though special mentions went to its satirical swipes at other well-known musicals.
