The trail will be created to be as accessible as possible within the context of the natural site of Delamere. The route is all on pre-existing pathways and the lighting trail is designed so all elements can be viewed from the pathways. There are accessible toilets for visitors with disabilities and access needs. A Changing Places facility is available at the start and end of the trail. Family toilets with baby changing facilities are also available.Is Christmas at Delamere Forest accessible for wheelchair users?
Due to the natural landscape the trail includes some gradual and steeper slopes. Paths can be uneven in places and none of the paths are tarmac. Wheelchairs are accommodated but discretion is needed as the trail may not be suitable for all aids. Wherever possible stewards will assist but this cannot be guaranteed.Can I bring my mobility scooter/wheelchair or can they be provided?
Mobility scooters/Wheelchairs will not be available on site, though you are welcome to bring your own. If you are bringing a mobility scooter please ensure it is fully charged prior to your visit.How long is the trail at Christmas at Delamere Forest?
It will take approximately 90 minutes to walk the illuminated trail. The illuminated trail covers a distance of approximately 2 miles and includes some undulation. Please be aware that the forest path network is not tarmac and will follow the natural contours of the landscape so paths can be steep at times.Can I purchase food and drink at Christmas at Delamere Forest?
Christmas at Delamere will be offering the following food and beverage for 2022: Premier Events - Offering a savoury option of pulled pork rolls and a sweet option of waffles including hot and cold drinks Meadow Brown- Offering a selection of burgers (Vegan option available), hot dogs, nachos, churros and hot drinks.Can I pay with cash or card at the trail?
We will only accept card payments at all sale points.What happens if it's bad weather?
As Christmas at Delamere Forest is an outdoor trail, if the weather presents a hazard and a risk to safety, any decision to cancel the trail will be taken by 2pm on the day of the trail. You will be notified by email and you will be informed of the re-booking process. We advise you to check the website for the latest updates and before you travel.
