Geronimo Festival

Set in Heaton Park the largest municipal park in Britain the event will be spread out to allow families to have enough space to ensure a special day out. For families that haven’t been to Geronimo before we recommend you arrive early as there is enough FREE entertainment for you to stay all day. Heaton park is served by 2 tram stops Heaton Park and Bowker Vale both a few minutes’ walk from the park please visit www.metrolink.com.
Unlike any other family event in Britain, the festival has something for all members of the family to enjoy- whatever their age, although the focus is for 2-12 year olds. There will be 3 fabulous showground arenas, a hive of entertainment throughout the festival with timetabled events including jousting tournaments, motorcycle stunt displays, camel racing and more.
The most popular zone of the festival is the main stage where you can see children’s Tv royalty Sam & Mark take to the stage. You could find yourself singing on stage with a live rock band ROCKAKOKE or joining in with a giant Frozen sing-along. No festival would be complete without music, for the parents we are delighted to announce a great Manchester line up, Craig Charles, a celebration of all things funky! Mr Scruff and Bez from the Happy Mondays will be doing DJ sets alongside Clint Boon. Bands like The Rockin Rhinos, Johnny and the Raindrops will be live all weekend and Big Fish Little Fish for the post-rave generation.
The ticket price includes entry as well activities and attractions within the venue (with the exception of the funfair attractions) Highlights of this special edition Geronimo will be a 20000 litre mermaid tank with displays throughout the day, our monster truck arena, 2 full circuses, jousting knights in the arena, a Wild West reenactment arena and not forgetting our high wire walker above you!
