Lightopia
This festive season Crystal Palace Park lights up as family-friendly Lightopia illuminates the grounds. Designed to underscore the history of the palace, the festival features trails, interactive installations, colourful lasers and multi-sensory water shows. Little ones and adults can gasp in awe as they pass the Guardian Gate, come face to face with shining creatures that range from delicate butterflies to a majestic phoenix, step inside the Christmas Zone and onto an Interactive Floor. The Crystal Palace dinosaurs will be brought to life alongside Lightopia’s own additions, and the show will culminate in a dramatic illumination of the historic landmark itself, mixing a sensual experience with discovery. A plethora of local South London food and drink stalls will be on site to sate hungry tummies, from light bites to hearty meals.
