Newcastle Races

Enthusiasts of the horse racing can gather at the Newcastle Racecourse on 27 June to witness the feature race of the day - the Seaton Delaval Handicap Stakes, a competitive Class 2. The race is named after a horse that came out victorious in the 1893 Northumberland Plate and the local village in Northumberland. Visitors can use a racecourse shuttle bus service available free of charge, departing from Four Lane Ends and Regent Centre metro stations from 90 minutes before the first race until the first race, and then returning to the same metro stations after the races.
