The Event

Classical Spectacular has been presenting collections of much-loved classical music for 25 years and comes to Leeds for the first time this winter. The First Direct Arena hosts the show which sees the Orchestra of Opera North team up with the Leeds Festival Chorus to perform pieces including the William Tell Overture, Handel's Hallelujah Chorus and the 1812 Overture, complete with cannons and indoor fireworks. The evening also features appearances from soprano Catrin Aur, tenor Marc Heller and the Fanfare Trumpeters of the Band of the King's Division, as well as Richard and Adam Johnson, fresh from their stint on Britain's Got Talent 2013. The evening begins at 7.30pm, with audience members asked to arrive an hour early to collect their tickets.
