About Romford Greyhound Stadium

• Established in 1929, Romford Greyhound Stadium has maintained its prominence as a local attraction, conveniently linked to London through transportation. While notably acknowledged for greyhound racing, the venue briefly hosted cheetah racing in 1937.
• Over time, the racing calendar expanded notably, thanks to Coral's involvement from 1976 onwards, introducing three major events. The third significant accolade, the Coronation Cup, was secured in 1986, followed by the introduction of the Golden Sprint a year later.
• The Coral Stand offers patrons an enhanced dining experience, three bars, and convenient on-site betting amenities. Visitors of all ages are graciously received, and families are encouraged to spend quality evenings, particularly during celebratory occasions. Greyhounds partaking in races may retire at different points for various reasons. Upon retirement, they all share a common longing for a forever home and a comfortable spot. The greyhounds' welfare is a priority at Coral's greyhound tracks, ensuring their well-being during their racing careers and post-retirement.
