RAF Museum Open Cockpits Evening
Aviation fans will have the chance to climb on board of a selection of historic aircraft and sit in the pilot’s seat. Guests will also have the chance to take photographs once inside the cockpit, and visit the museum after hours. Iconic aircraft available for close viewing will include Saunders-Roe SR53, Fairey FD2, SEPECAT Jaguar ACT Demonstrator, Kawasaki Ki-1001b, Focke Wulf 190, Short Brothers Belfast, Handley Page Hastings and Scottish Aviation Jetstream T Mk1.

Valid on date specified on Groupon only (15 or 16 Sep 2017).
Purchase: Limit 1 per person. May buy 5 additional as gifts.
Restrictions: No booking required. Present printed Groupon on arrival. The event opens from 6pm-9pm each day. No cancellations. The Museum will close at 5pm both days, however, the Visitor Centre and Refuel Restaurant will remain open for visitors attending the evening event. Minimum height restrictions of 1.07 metres will apply. Child (5-15 years). Dogs are not permitted inside unless they are an assistance dog. For enquiries please telephone 01902 376252. Valid on option purchased only. Notes for access: Must be physically able to climb a number of steps and lift the legs in and out of the cockpits. A minimum height requirement of 1.07 metres applies. Please note that the size of cockpits varies, if the museum feels that it is not safe or possible to access a cockpit, they reserve the right to refuse access. Please wear appropriate clothing and flat shoes with a good grip on them. Please note: they cannot allow the public access without appropriate footwear. Guests are more than welcome to take photographs once inside the cockpit – please come with a camera that can be zipped into a pocket or a camera with a strap.
