The Event
Laughter is afoot as The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company deliver productions of three of the writers' classic comedies at The Stockport Plaza. The players will bring to life the dramatists' nautical farce The Pirates of Penzance, fantastical satire Iolanthe, and the pair's longest running opera, The Mikado. Based in Yorkshire, the company has celebrated the Victorian duo’s work for over 21 years and regularly headlines Buxtons’ annual Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Festival.
