East Midlands Food Festival
A panoply of regional and international food will be showcased at the 19th year of the East Midlands Food Festival held at Melton’s historic livestock market. During the two-day event, visitors will be able to taste and buy local specialities such as the Stilton cheese and Melton Mowbray pork pies, as well as attending a series of talks and demonstrations. The fair will also feature a number of workshops and the opportunity to buy memorabilia in the craft and gift section. Children aged 16 and under go free and can enjoy themselves at the specially designed kids zone, where they can learn about food. Those hungry for a bit of culture are also in for a treat, with a gospel choir and other musicians providing live entertainment. Don’t worry about the weather too much, as all stands will be under cover.
