The Vikings are Coming!
The Tutbury castle grounds are once again hosting a sieging Viking tribe during The Vikings are Coming! event. Recalling the real events that happened at a nearby Hanbury convent, the Vikings of Svartland Living History Society lighten up the dark history with an Easter celebration for the whole family. Authentic crafts, skills and pastimes of old tribes are demonstrated and combat displays also take place. Attendees can partake in a guided history tour to learn more about the past events or stay in the present with an Easter egg hunt. Birds of prey show and a fairground with rides also appear to keep visitors entertained.
