Vegfest UK sees Bristol host a weekend celebration of vegetarian and vegan lifestyles. Over 140 stalls descend on the Amphitheatre and Waterfront Square to offer an array of samples, products and services while cookery demonstrations and workshops look to provide ethical culinary inspiration for all ages. During talks and workshops, herbivores can learn about nutrition and lifestyle topics, such as living on a raw diet, with a variety of caterers on site to serve snacks and meals, while an all-day bar serving juices and smoothies has refreshments covered. A series of musicians provide a soundtrack to proceedings, with headliners including Boney M featuring Maizie Williams on Friday night, as well as Peter Hook and the Light on Saturday. Live stand-up comedy, special guests, a cinema, kids' area and clay modelling deliver further spectacle, with tickets available for Friday (usually £15), Saturday (£3 for daytime entry, plus £10 for evening entry), or all three days of the festival (£33).
