Armed with a 15-day swim pass, aqua-enthusiasts can practise front crawls, breast strokes and free-styling in the 25-metre indoor swimming pool. Featuring a shallow and a deep end, the pool also includes lanes for those who like their swimming more continuous. Also included is access to the on-site sauna and steam room for a post-swim sizzle.

The Merchant
Providing a place for kids and adults to take in some exercise, Gosport Leisure Centre features an indoor pool, a health suite and workout classes. Open until 10pm on weekdays, plus from 7am on the weekends, the centre also includes a gym stocked up with fixed and free weights, plus cardio equipment. Those who enjoy a more communal workout can take part in aqatic, cycling or studio classes such as zumba or pilates. Activities designed just for kids are also available, with holiday camps, a crèche and birthday parties just some of the possibilities.
