• Can be grown outdoors all year round
• Little maintenance required
• Given a well-drained, gritty soil and good protection from the worst of the wet winter weather, they shall survive from year to year
• Over the years they shall form low growing, prickly clumps
• Mature hardy Cactus will reward you with a colourful display of large blooms, reaching up to 6cm across on well-established plants, in a bright range of jewel-like colours
• Whilst hardy to -7° C over short periods, they do require very free draining soil and will benefit from protection from wet winter weather
• Provide a winter cloche where possible or plant them in containers that can be moved under cover from autumn to spring
• Supplied as a pot grown plant in a 13cm pot
• Plant selection will be a lucky dip
• At maturity expect a height of 15cm (5’’) and spread of 5cm (2’’)
• Grow in a sunny or lightly shaded spot with some shelter from the hottest sun
• After planting, top dress with gravel to prevent water pooling at the base of the plant
