- Hardy perennial and has thick decorative foliage
- Can produce fresh colourful foliage each spring with flower spikes in the summer
- Ideal for creating ground cover in woodland gardens or for shaded borders and containers
- Requires rich, well-drained soil and will need to be kept reliably moist
- For best performance, position in lightly shaded areas avoiding direct sunlight
- Supplied as bare root plants
- At maturity plants can reach a height of up to 60cm (24inches) with a spread of 100cm (39inches)
