The Deal

A homemade soup of the day (usually £4.95) for each person kicks off a meal in the surrounds of Huntley’s restaurant, accompanied by a freshly baked roll from the on-site baker. Pairs can then take their pick from a choice of sizzling platter, with options including a chargrilled cajun chicken breast, BBQ pork loin, or a sweet chilli haddock fillet (each £9.95). Each platter is served with mixed peppers and onions, plus a choice of chunky chips or mixed leaf salad.

The Merchant

Based around a bustling courtyard, Huntley’s is a Samlesbury-based farm shop featuring a food hall and restaurant. Open seven days a week for breakfast, afternoon tea and lunch, the restaurant incorporates local produce into meals, with over 40 flavours of ice cream to choose from for an after-main sweet. Meanwhile, visitors can pick up all manner of items in the food hall, where there’s a delicatessen, charcuterie counter, fishmongers and sweet section. Outlets such as a wine store, fashion shop, and a florists are also huddled around the courtyard.

With a good 3.5/5 star average on TripAdvisor, Huntley’s has impressed visitors from the local area and further afield. Praise was heaped on aspects including the interesting on-site shops, delicious food and accommodating staff.
